Since our GDM We Rise pub crawl in April 2016, we have established a great relationship with nonprofit, Include Autism and hope to continue to work with them to make a difference for Autistic individuals and their families.
This is where we all come in. Birdies & Barrels is a combination golf tournament and Beer Festival event put on by and benefitting Include Autism. The even takes place on Saturday, November 5th at the beautiful Rancho Bernardo Inn. This will be Include Autism’s third annual golf tournament with the addition of their very first Beer Festival. The Birdies and Barrels Golf Tournament & Beer Festival is an opportunity to bring together different members of the community Include Autism is not always able to reach. This is the first time Include Autism has put on a beer festival, and they hope to have a range of different attendees; from 20-somethings to middle aged; from professionals to students, San Diego to North County residents, and everything in between. At only $25 - $40 per ticket - which includes 8) 4oz tastes, snacks, entertainment, and souvenir mug - this is an affordable option for guests to be able to attend a fundraiser without breaking the bank.
The beer festival will feature brews from: Mission Brewery, Deschutes Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing, Pizza Port, Washington Gold Cider and more! Henebery Whiskey will be slinging craft cocktails, Meze Greek Fusion will be serving up their famous Greek tacos, and Zoe Food & Beverage will be pouring fine wines. In addition to great food and drink, beer festival attendees have the option to partake in a paint and pours art class, get henna tattoos and/or get in the Luau spirit with the flower-crown creations.
The golf tournament is a four-person scramble and is a qualifier for the Randy Jones Invitational and will feature fun contests, prizes, and more [a helicopter is going to be dropping golf balls on one of the greens and the closest ball to the pin wins - you know you want to see that!]. All golfers will also have full access to the beer festival and Luau Dinner. The price is $149 per golfer, with special rates for foursome sign-ups.
There will be a Luau Dinner along with the awards ceremony. Tickets for the Luau Dinner only are $59. Complimentary access to the beer festival is included.
The event will be attended by local business leaders, community partners, friends and families of the children that Include Autism serves, and other supporters. Birdies and Barrels will raise funds for Include Autism’s programs to give children, teens, and young adults with autism spectrum disorder learning opportunities to become active and contributing members of their community.|
