Batta Fulkerson Law Group is a full-service, boutique personal injury law firm that is dedicated to to helping accident victims regain their health and obtain fair compensation. Known as the “Bulldog Attorneys” this firm opened a year ago in downtown San Diego and their logo prominently features a bulldog, designed after one of Attorney Dan Fulkerson’s beloved pets. Between their staff of 5 attorneys, the firm has many years of combined experience practicing law. Managing Partners Paul Batta and Dan Fulkerson both attended California Western School of Law, graduating in 2011. Recently the firm moved to their own space in the Wells Fargo building in downtown San Diego.
Paul and Dan started the firm to be more actively involved in the community. “I never dreamed that at age thirty-two I’d be this successful and able to do so much. And a lot of that has been made possible because of the San Diego community. I know I wouldn’t have the life I do if it wasn’t for living here,” explains Dan Fulkerson. So, as beneficial and thankful members of the local San Diego community, Paul, Dan and their staff believe strongly in giving back to San Diegans in need.
Every other Wednesday the Batta Fulkerson staff volunteers at Urban Angels, serving food to the homeless of San Diego. The firm is actively involved in several local bulldog and animal rescues, like Second Chance Dog Rescue. They have put on sack lunch drives, where the staff makes bag lunches and distributes them to the homeless East Village population. From toy drives, to dress and clothing drives, to sponsoring youth soccer teams, Batta Fulkerson exemplifies what it means to actively give back. They even give a percentage of all proceeds from cases back to charities they are personally involved with.
Recently, Gaslamp District Media and Batta Fulkerson were introduced in part because of our like minded philosophy toward giving back. GDM We Rise seeks to be the nightlife industry’s leader in giving back by volunteering, advocating and fundraising for local nonprofit/charitable organizations and by making giving back more accessible to those in the nightlife industry. Batta Fulkerson seeks to be actively involved in the local community. We both believe that giving time is the greater gift, more so than writing a check. Since that first introduction, GDM and Batta Fulkerson have worked together on the Friends of Scott Unforgettable Prom, Batta Fulkerson joined GDM’s Autism Awareness Bar Crawl, and both are sponsors of Include Autism’s fundraiser, the Beach Bash Gala.
We at GDM feel lucky to have found another like-minded company who also thinks of their staff as family. We look forward to more collaborations in the future as we all strive to pay it forward. The San Diego community is fortunate to have a great company like Batta Fulkerson Law Group advocating for it.
