Gaslamp District Media & Party Naked are teaming up with Parq Nightclub to bring San Diego the first Industry Casino Night & Poker Tournament for Charity, benefiting the Friends of Scott Foundation, Friends of Children with Cancer.
The Friends of Scott Foundation was created to honor teenager, Scott Delgadillo who lost his battle with Leukemia in 2001. After his passing, Scott’s friends and family reminisced about Scott, and decided they wanted to help other children battling cancer in Scott's honor. Thus the Friends of Scott Foundation was born.
Now more than 10 years later, Friends of Scott runs nine different programs/services to aid children battling cancer, including a college scholarship program for cancer survivors. However, they are best known for their annual Unforgettable Prom, which GDM We Rise was fortunate to attend this past May. We had the opportunity to meet the wonderful volunteers who make up 100% of the Friends of Scott staff. We also got to take part in what was clearly a magical evening for the kids and families who attended. We could not be prouder to be partnering with this organization and to raise funds for the Friends of Scott Foundation.
On Monday, June 6th, come out for a fun night with friends & help us raise money for the Friends of Scott Scholarship Program, which offers scholarships each year to cancer patients currently on treatment or to survivors.

Time: 7pm - 8pm Registration for Poker Tournament, 7pm - 8pm Hosted VIP Hour, 8pm Poker Tournament and all Casino Gaming Begins.
We are transforming Parq into a casino for the night which will be open to the public. The 100 person, professionally ran poker tournament is sponsored by the Dark Woods Festival. There will also be casino games like blackjack, 3 card poker and war and raffles all night long.
